Prep for consignment season, clean up the house, beat cabin fever, AND have fun with the kids helping out... Sounds too good to be true, am I right?!? Try some of these FUN consignment prepping, to get your kids involved, and to combat going stir-crazy!

• Contests! ○ Who can put together a puzzle the fastest? ○ Who can match the most pairs of socks in a minute? ○ Who is faster at hanging an outfit on a hanger? ○ Who can match an outfit, hat, socks, and pants together? • Scavenger Hunts! ○ Counting puzzle pieces ○ Finding missing toy pieces ○ Spotting stains and holes on clothing

• Coloring Pages ○ What type of items do you kids want to find to buy at the consignment sale? ○ How many dollars do they think you might make from selling all this stuff? ○ What type of adventures can they see happening once the clutter is gone from their rooms? • Let the kids type the tag descriptions

• Have your child describe the items to you, as you type them ○ Or use talk to text on your cell phone, let your child tell Siri what items they are selling

Of course, sometimes kids need a bit of bribery to get things going. Here are some incentives you could offer: • Create them their own JBF tagging account, and let them keep the money they earn, or use that money for the next sale, so they can buy what they want. • "Pay" them per hour in JBF bucks that they will get to use and spend at the event. • If they help you for 45m, then you can bake cookies together • Each page of tags that gets printed and attached, they get a piece of candy, or a treat • Screen time, for every 50 tags that is entered and attached, they gain some screen time to watch a movie, play video games, etc. Do you have some great ideas that I'm missing? Here is how it works: ○ For every 50 tags that you enter and print from your profile, you will get 1 entry ○ Each time you enter and attach 50 tags, comment on our FB Consignor groups post that you entered the tags ○ If you are reducing AND donating the items you are tagging, you will get an EXTRA entry per 50 items, just comment that your items are R&D! ○ Contest will end on Monday, February 18, 2019. ○ One winner that is participating in the Issaquah event will win their consignor fee waived AND an additional 5% on their sold items! ○ One winner that is participating in the Mount Vernon Event will win their consignor fee waived AND an additional 5% on sold items! *Disclaimer* Winner must be registered to consign at the event, BEFORE tags are entered.
